Established in 1935, the Agricultural Cooperatives Union Aeghion S.A. (P.E.S. Union) is a leading Greek cooperative comprising numerous local cooperatives and thousands of members. The Union specializes in the sorting, packaging, and trade of black Corinthian currants, citrus fruits, and dried fruits, sourced from both conventional and organic farming. Additionally, it operates an olive oil mill for the standardization of olive oil. P.E.S. Union is recognized as the main exporter of Greek black Corinthian currants, handling approximately 60% of the total annual crop and exporting to over 45 countries worldwide. The Union's production processes are certified under ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRC, Kosher, and Halal quality systems, ensuring adherence to international standards of safety and quality.
