Pelican Aeroponic Farms, established in 2018 by retired master mariner Haraprasad Mohapatra, specializes in the cultivation of exotic vegetables such as lettuce, kale, basil, cherry tomatoes, and jalapenos using aeroponic farming techniques. Located in Teisipur, Odisha, the farm operates on a 700-square-meter area equipped with 'grow towers' that enable vertical farming, allowing for the cultivation of nearly 4,000 plants and the production of up to 100 kg of vegetables daily. Despite challenges like Cyclone Fani in 2019, Pelican Aeroponic Farms continues to focus on sustainable and innovative farming practices to provide fresh, high-quality produce.
