Founded in 2015 by Adeline Mukayirere, DAVET Ltd. is a Rwandan agribusiness dedicated to providing consistent, reliable, and better-paid employment opportunities to rural women and youth. Initially starting as an agri-vet store supplying inputs to farmers in Bugesera, the company has evolved into a multifaceted agribusiness. DAVET operates its own farms, offers technical assistance to smallholder farmers and cooperatives, and connects them to export markets. The company collaborates with four cooperatives, covering over 45 hectares of land and comprising over 600 members. DAVET specializes in the year-round production of fresh products for export, including French beans and chili, leveraging Rwanda's fertile soils and favorable climate.
