Founded in June 1978, the Association Québécoise de l'Industrie de la Pêche (AQIP) is a non-profit organization representing seafood processing companies in Quebec's maritime regions. AQIP advocates for its members' interests with relevant authorities and plays a significant role in the province's fishing industry. The association comprises 54 members, including 32 industrial members and 22 associate members, accounting for over 90% of the marine products processed in Quebec. The total value of marine products processed by its members has been $600 million since 2018.
