Established in 2010, Angel Yeast Egypt Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Angel Yeast Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese yeast manufacturer. Located in Cairo, the company began with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons of instant dry yeast. By 2017, production expanded to 25,000 tons of dry yeast and 12,000 tons of yeast extract. In December 2022, Angel Yeast Egypt initiated a project to add a new production line capable of producing 20,000 tons of yeast products annually, aiming to increase total capacity to 60,000 tons per year upon completion in May 2024. The company has created significant employment opportunities, with over 900 local staff as of early 2024, and plans to employ up to 1,000 more locals after the expansion. Angel Yeast Egypt is committed to sustainable practices, converting wastewater from yeast manufacturing into organic fertilizer to support local agriculture.
