Qvevri Saperavi, Qvevri Rkatsiteli
Zakro Vino, established in 2016, is a Georgian winery that combines ancient traditional winemaking techniques with a modern global business perspective. Their vineyards are located in the protected designation of origin (PDO) Gurjaani, Kakheti region. The wines are fermented in original 19th-century Qvevri clay vessels, a method with an 8, 000-year continuous tradition. This technique offers advantages such as micro-oxygenation, natural temperature regulation through underground storage, and natural filtering due to the egg shape of the Qvevri.
