Z Corporation, commonly abbreviated as Z Corp., was a company specializing in 3D printing and scanning technologies. Founded in December 1994 by Marina Hatsopoulos, Walter Bornhorst, James Bredt, and Tim Anderson, the company developed technologies based on research conducted at MIT under Professor Ely Sachs. Z Corp. was known for its innovative 3D printing solutions, including full-color and high-resolution printers, as well as 3D scanners and software. The company was acquired by 3D Systems in 2012.
