Yéyé Offshore Fishing Cooperative Society Ltd is a cooperative based in Port-Louis, Mauritius, established to promote sustainable fishing practices and improve the livelihoods of local fishermen. The cooperative, composed of six fishermen, acquired a semi-industrial fishing boat through a government grant program supported by the European Union. This initiative is part of the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement to develop sustainable and well-managed fisheries in Mauritian waters. The cooperative targets demersal species like snappers and groupers, contributing to local fish supply and economic growth.
