Wakasaya Honpo Co., Ltd. was founded in Kyogoku-cho, Abuta-gun, Hokkaido in 1919 as a confectionery manufacturing business, was established as a limited liability company in September 1978, and changed its structure to a stock company in April 2003. We manufacture and sell Japanese and Western sweets, and our signature confectionery, ``Imo Flavor,'' is a confectionery invented at the end of the Meiji era by Genshichi Wakasa, the founder of Suttsu Wakasaya. This confectionery, made using Hokkaido's specialty Daifuku beans and beet sugar and kneaded using a unique manufacturing method to resemble a sweet potato, has been loved by many people for over 100 years.
