The Coffee Board of India, established in 1942 under an act of Parliament, is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Its primary aim is to promote the coffee industry in India through research, development, extension, quality upgradation, and market promotion. The Board provides financial assistance, conducts coffee research, and supports the domestic and international marketing of Indian coffee.
