The Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Limited (TCMPF), also known as Aavin, is the apex body for milk cooperatives in Tamil Nadu. Established on February 1, 1981, TCMPF is responsible for the procurement, processing, and marketing of milk and milk products. The federation includes 17 district cooperative milk producers' unions and operates various dairy plants across the state. Aavin produces a wide range of dairy products, including milk, ice cream, butter, ghee, and milk powder, maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene. The federation plays a crucial role in supporting rural dairy farmers and ensuring the availability of dairy products to consumers at reasonable prices.
