The Progressive Dairy Farmers Association (PDFA) is a pioneer organization established in 1972 with the technical support of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. The association works for the overall development of dairy farmers by promoting the latest technologies and best practices in dairy farming. PDFA organizes an annual International Dairy Show and Exhibition to motivate farmers to maintain high-quality animals and provides a platform for interaction between farmers, scientists, and companies. The association also conducts monthly seminars, publishes technical books and a quarterly magazine 'Dairy Sandesh', and offers low-interest loans and technical support to farmers.
