Established in 2007, Tamou Fishing International Sarl is a Senegalese company specializing in the fishing and processing of seafood products. The name 'Tamou' is derived from the Wolof word 'Taa-mou,' meaning 'choose what you prefer,' reflecting the company's commitment to offering a diverse selection of high-quality seafood. In 2013, the company inaugurated its first production plant in Diamniadio, featuring a 1,500 m² raw material processing area, a 1,400 m² finished product area, and a 25,000 m³ cold storage facility. Employing approximately 100 permanent staff and over 200 seasonal workers, Tamou Fishing handles an annual volume of 50,000 tons of seafood, collaborating with more than a hundred trawlers from countries such as China, Italy, Spain, and Equatorial Guinea. The company is dedicated to enhancing product quality, expanding storage capacity, and continually innovating to meet customer demands.
