Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation Limited (TNSC), established in 1974, is a government enterprise under the Government of Tamil Nadu. The company specializes in the production of various types of salt including industrial grade salt and fortified edible salt. TNSC is a pioneer in producing Double Fortified Salt (DFS) which includes both iron and iodine. The corporation manages large-scale salt works in Tamil Nadu, including major facilities in Ramanathapuram and Chengalpattu districts. TNSC has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification for its quality management systems.
