Sri Chamundeswari Sugars Limited (SCSL), established in 1970 and part of the Sakthi Group, is a prominent sugar manufacturing company based in Karnataka, India. With an initial capacity of 1250 tonnes crushed per day (TCD), the company has since expanded its operations to a capacity of 5000 TCD. Apart from sugar production, SCSL also operates a distillery producing alcohol from molasses, a biogas and bio-compost unit, and a 26 MW co-generation power plant. The company is known for its environmentally sustainable practices, including a methane extraction plant eligible for carbon credits. SCSL has also contributed significantly to the socio-economic development of its surrounding communities.
