Migita Honten Co., Ltd., located in Masuda City, Shimane Prefecture, was founded in 1602 (Keicho 7) and is the oldest sake brewery in the prefecture. The representative brand Somi'' comes from the founder, Ryo Takamasa Migita's legal name, Onyo Somi.'' Using locally produced sake rice such as Saka Nishiki and Gohyakumangoku, and soft water pumped from 30 meters underground, we utilize traditional techniques to brew sake with a gorgeous aroma and elegant flavor. . In recent years, the company has also started producing whisky, which has received high acclaim, including winning the Gold Award for the first time in the world's three major alcohol competitions, the International Spirits Challenge (ISC), in 2024.
