Daito Sugar Tanegashima Co., Ltd. was established on April 2, 2018, and manufactures and sells sugar (containing nectar) and millet vinegar, rum, and processed Anno sweet potatoes. The parent company, Daito Sugar Co., Ltd., was established on July 26, 1952, and manufactures and sells sugar (refined sugar and nectar sugar) and operates a cafe and bakery business. Daito Sugar Tanegashima Co., Ltd. has started the rum production project "ARCABUZ" in Tanegashima, starting with the construction of a new distillery and cultivation of sugar cane, and plans to release rum in November 2023.
