Established in 1995 under the Agricultural Research Center (ARC) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of Egypt (MALR), the Central Laboratory of Residue Analysis of Pesticides and Heavy Metals in Food (QCAP Lab) specializes in analyzing pesticide residues and heavy metals in food. Accredited with ISO/IEC 17025:2017, QCAP Lab is authorized to monitor pollutants in food exports and imports, issuing official analysis certificates. The laboratory conducts applied scientific research to enhance food safety and improve the national economy.
