The Central Administration of Plant Quarantine (CAPQ) is Egypt's national plant protection organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation. CAPQ is responsible for regulating and inspecting plant health for imports and exports, ensuring compliance with international phytosanitary standards. The agency represents Egypt in international bodies such as the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and the Near East Plant Protection Organization (NEPPO).
