Established in 1973, Zaca Mesa Winery & Vineyards is a family-owned estate in Santa Barbara County, known for pioneering Rhône-style wines on California’s Central Coast. Zaca Mesa was the first in the region to plant Syrah in 1978, and has since specialized in Rhône varietals like Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Viognier, and Roussanne. Located in the Santa Ynez Valley, Zaca Mesa emphasizes sustainable practices, producing high-quality, estate-grown wines with a focus on terroir and authenticity. The winery is home to the iconic Black Bear Block, one of the oldest Syrah vineyards in the region.
