The Wisconsin Livestock Identification Consortium (WLIC) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 2001 to protect animal health and prevent the spread of disease through livestock and premises identification and traceability. WLIC works to support the state of Wisconsin by managing the premises ID system, providing livestock identification services, and promoting traceability in case of animal disease outbreaks. WLIC also plays a key role in educating the agricultural community about best practices in traceability.
