Vacqueyras is a notable appellation located in the southern Rhone Valley. Known for producing red, white, and rosé wines, the region benefits from a diverse terroir protected by the Dentelles de Montmirail. The appellation covers 1, 460 hectares of vineyards spread across the communes of Vacqueyras and Sarrians. Historically, the village has been associated with viticulture since the Middle Ages. In 1990, Vacqueyras was officially recognized as a 'Cru' by the Institut National des Appellations d’Origine (INAO), marking its status as a premier wine-producing region.
