Company Overview
United Egg Producers (UEP) is a Capper–Volstead agricultural cooperative in the United States that represents the interests of American egg producers. Established in 1968, UEP collaborates with egg farmers to advance responsible egg production, ensure proper hen care, produce safe eggs, and preserve the environment for future generations. UEP developed the UEP Certified Animal Welfare Program, which sets science-based guidelines for optimal hen well-being, covering both conventional cage and cage-free housing systems. More than 90% of eggs produced in the U.S. come from farms that voluntarily participate in the UEP Certified program, demonstrating a commitment to animal welfare and food safety.
