Founded in 2000, Unión de Productores de Itapúa S.A. (UPISA) is a major pork producer and exporter in Paraguay. Based in Fram, Itapúa, the company was created by pig farmers and agricultural cooperatives. UPISA integrates various parts of the production chain, from grain production to pork processing and exportation. The company is Paraguay's only certified exporter of pork products and holds certifications such as HACCP. With over 1,000 direct employees, UPISA continues to expand its market presence both locally and internationally.
