Sikkim State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. (SIMFED) was established in 1983 under the Sikkim Co-operative Societies Act of 1978. As an Apex Marketing society for the state of Sikkim, SIMFED undertakes wholesale supply of consumer goods to Multi-Purpose Cooperative Societies and Consumer Cooperative Societies. It also arranges for bulk marketing of surplus agricultural produce, including important cash crops of the state. SIMFED is involved in the procurement and supply of seeds, fertilizers, agricultural tools, organic manure, and pesticides. Additionally, it supplies consumer items, construction materials, office stationery, and uniforms to various government departments.
