The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was established by the Government of India under the APEDA Act passed by Parliament in December 1985. Operational since February 13, 1986, APEDA is responsible for the development and promotion of the export of scheduled products, including fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, dairy products, and various processed foods. The authority provides financial assistance, information, and guidelines for the development of scheduled products and has been actively engaged in market development, infrastructure enhancement, and quality promotion to boost India's agricultural exports.
