The Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB) was established in 1989 under the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities. It is a federal statutory agency responsible for the development and promotion of the cocoa industry in Malaysia. MCB focuses on increasing productivity and efficiency in cocoa bean production, as well as enhancing downstream activities. The board conducts extensive research and development to improve the quality and competitiveness of Malaysian cocoa and cocoa products, aiming to position Malaysia as a leading processing and trading center for cocoa.
