Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), popularly known as 'Amul', is India's largest food product marketing organization. Founded in 1973, GCMMF is a cooperative federation that serves as the marketing entity for dairy products produced by 3.64 million milk producers across 18, 600 village milk cooperative societies. With an annual turnover of USD 7.2 billion (2022-23), GCMMF procures approximately 25.9 million liters of milk per day. Amul's wide product range includes milk, milk powder, ghee, butter, cheese, ice cream, paneer, chocolates, and traditional Indian sweets, making it a household name in India and a significant player in global dairy trade.
