The Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is an apex body established by the Government of India under the APEDA Act in December 1985. It is responsible for the promotion and development of the export of various scheduled products, including fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, dairy products, and more. APEDA provides guidelines for export standards, packaging improvements, and marketing of these products internationally. Additionally, it functions as the Secretariat for the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) for the accreditation of organic products.
