The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI) is a branch of the Government of India responsible for formulating and implementing policies and plans for the food processing sector. Established in 1988, MOFPI aims to develop a strong and competitive food processing industry to increase farmer incomes, generate employment, and reduce wastage of agricultural produce.
