Founded in 1991 by Mark Tarner, The South Bend Chocolate Company started with chocolates licensed by the University of Notre Dame. Over the years, it has expanded to produce over 500 different chocolate and confectionery products, which are sold nationwide. The company operates a 58, 000-square-foot factory and museum in South Bend, Indiana, and runs 14 company-owned stores in Northern Indiana along with 3 franchise locations in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
