Prosper Cashew is a project led by TechnoServe and funded by the USDA's Food for Progress program. Launched in October 2020, the project aims to enhance cashew processing capacity in West Africa, specifically in Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, and Nigeria. The project seeks to facilitate $61 million in investment, create more than 4, 500 jobs (with at least 50% for women), and help processors sell over $200 million in processed cashew products. By strengthening the commercial viability of the cashew processing sector through capacity building, improving supply chain integration, and linking investors with local processors, Prosper Cashew aims to keep the economic and social value of cashews within the region.
