Founded in 1881 by Melchiorre Sordi, SORDI played since its born a leading role in the dairy sector, Melchiorre was succeeded by his son Carlo and, in the 1950s, by his grandson Mario. The machines and systems realized by SORDI obtained important awards worldwide; Sordi was the undisputed protagonist of the innovations that characterized the dairy world: from the development of the first UHT STERIPLAK milk lines of the early 60s to the continuous machines REINFORM for the production of pasta filata; from POLIMEC coagulation vats to the introduction of automation in the production processes of the 70s. In the 21st century SORDI, still one of the main actors of the market, expanded the production range and has included further sectors of the food branch. Francesca, Cristina and Federica Sordi continue the business in compliance with the principles that inspired the founder’s mission from the beginning: innovation, competence and reliability.
