The PMFME (Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) Division operates under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. Launched as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, this centrally sponsored scheme aims to provide financial, technical, and business support to micro food processing enterprises across India. The scheme is designed to formalize and improve the competitiveness of small-scale food processors, helping them access modern technologies, improve branding, and expand their market reach. With an outlay of ₹10,000 crores, the PMFME scheme targets to support 2 lakh micro-enterprises by 2025.
