Ochiai Distillery is a family-owned shochu distillery in Miyazaki, Japan, with over a century of history. Established in 1909 by Rihei Ochiai, the distillery is now run by the fourth generation, Ryohei Ochiai. The distillery specializes in Honkaku Shochu, particularly from sweet potatoes, using traditional methods that emphasize the authentic flavor of the base ingredients. Their products, such as the Rihei Ginger Shochu, have gained recognition both in Japan and internationally.
