The National Bee Board (NBB), established in 2000 under the Small Farmers’ Agri-business Consortium (SFAC), aims to promote scientific beekeeping in India. Reconstituted in 2006, the board works under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare to enhance crop productivity through pollination, improve honey production, and support the livelihood of beekeepers. NBB plays a crucial role in the 'Sweet Revolution, ' focusing on sustainable beekeeping practices and increasing the country's honey export capacity.
