Founded in 1937 by Fred 'Pappi' Stern and David Kopper, Kopper's Chocolate Specialty Co., Inc. is renowned for producing award-winning panned chocolates, also known as 'dragees.' The company was the first in the U.S. to make chocolate lentils and mint lentils, predating M&M's, and pioneered the combination of chocolate and coffee with their Mocha Beans. Over the years, Kopper's has expanded its offerings to include a wide array of panned chocolates, such as chocolate-covered gummy bears and various nut chocolates. In 2016, Kopper's was acquired by Nuts.com, a third-generation family-owned business, and continues to uphold its tradition of quality and innovation from its facility in Cranford, New Jersey.
