The Institute of Hotel Management, Gangtok, Sikkim, was established in 1990 as a Food Craft Institute by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, and the Government of Sikkim. It aims to provide professional education and training in the field of hospitality and hotel management. Upgraded to a full-fledged Institute of Hotel Management in 2000, it is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The institute offers various programs including B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, Diploma in Food Production, Diploma in Food & Beverage Service, and more.
