For generations the Whish family has nurtured vineyards and shared a love of winemaking. Today, Charles Whish, former Senior Winemaker for Rosemount Estate and Serafino Wines and winner of the Jimmy Watson trophy, is working with his family on their own boutique label — Hiddenfire Wines. The family produces exceptional wines reflecting the unique terroir of McLaren Vale, varying from deep, rich flavours to light, floral aromas. Their off-grid home overlooks the vineyards, keeping them constantly connected. “After 45 years in the wine industry, I feel like I’m exactly where I’m meant to be, ” says Charles.
