Established in March 1990, the Guangdong Plastics Industry Association (GDPIA) is a legally recognized social organization approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. Serving as a bridge between its members and government departments, GDPIA conveys governmental intentions, reflects industry aspirations, researches development directions, assists in planning, coordinates internal and external relations, represents member interests, and communicates industry opinions and requirements to the government. The association also organizes training sessions, participates in quality management supervision, offers technical consultations, and promotes industry guidance to foster development and maintain industry safety. GDPIA's membership comprises plastic product processing enterprises, plastic machinery manufacturers, plastic mold processing companies, plastic chemical enterprises (including raw materials, additives, and auxiliary materials), research institutes, higher education institutions, and related industry associations across Guangdong Province.
