Flow of Pariir Agriculture Cooperative is a farmer-led organization based in Saranay, Cabatuan, Isabela, Philippines. The cooperative is an exemplar of community-driven agribusiness innovation, known particularly for its pioneering mung bean (munggo) product development initiatives. With a strong orientation toward value-adding, sustainability, and food innovation, the cooperative has garnered national recognition for transforming traditional agricultural commodities into modern, marketable food items.
Brief History
Established by local farmers in the fertile agricultural lands of Cabatuan, the Flow of Pariir Agriculture Cooperative was conceived to address the limitations of traditional farming income and market access. The cooperative derives its name from "Pariir," an Ilocano term reflecting unity and collective growth. With technical support from government agencies like the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the cooperative evolved from a basic farming collective into an integrated agribusiness entity.
Core Business
The cooperative is engaged in the cultivation, processing, and commercialization of mung bean-based food products and other agricultural commodities. It leverages community labor and indigenous knowledge, augmented by technological interventions, to produce innovative food items from locally grown crops. Flow of Pariir focuses on expanding market access for rural farmers through value-added production.
