Established in 1977, the Federación Española de Industrias de Alimentación y Bebidas (FIAB) represents the Spanish food and beverage industry, which comprises nearly 30, 000 companies and employs approximately half a million people. FIAB's mission is to advocate for the sector's interests before national and international administrations and decision-making bodies, while proactively addressing future challenges affecting the industry's development. The federation focuses on enhancing competitiveness, internationalization, innovation, sustainability, employment, and talent within the sector. FIAB is a member of the Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales (CEOE) and, since 1986, a full member of FoodDrinkEurope, the European organization representing the food and drink industry.
