Founded in 2022 by Fatima Mabrouk, Cooperative Dayâa Amra is a women's cooperative in Figuig, Morocco, specializing in the valorization of local date varieties such as Majhoul, Assian, Boufeggous, and Aziza. The cooperative produces a range of date-based products, including simple dates, stuffed dates with almonds, date paste, jams, energy balls, and coffee made from date pits. Despite challenges in local marketing due to Figuig's small size, the cooperative has gained national and international recognition, winning awards at the International Date Festival in Erfoud and the International Terroir Products Fair in Agadir. Supported by the regional agriculture directorate, Cooperative Dayâa Amra continues to promote and enhance the value of Figuig's date production.
