Established in 1972, the Central Poultry Development Organisation & Training Institute (CPDO&TI) operates under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India. Located in Hessarghatta, Bengaluru, the institute serves as a premier center for poultry development and training. CPDO&TI offers advanced and specialized training programs to technical officers from central and state government organizations, agricultural and veterinary universities, banks, insurance corporations, cooperative sectors, and private poultry enterprises. The institute also engages in the production and supply of rural chicken, turkey poults, ducks, and various egg and meat-type poultry across the country. Additionally, CPDO&TI provides services to the feed industry by assessing the quality of feed and feed ingredients.
