The Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary (CCGA) is a national non-profit organization and registered charity composed of volunteer resources throughout Canada. Established in 1978, the CCGA supports the Canadian Coast Guard and National Defence by providing marine search and rescue (SAR) services and promoting safe boating practices. With over 4,000 members and approximately 1,130 vessels, the CCGA responds to about 25% of the nearly 8,000 marine SAR incidents recorded annually in Canada, contributing significantly to maritime safety and emergency response.
