The Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) is a leading agricultural research institute in India under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). Established in 1958, IIMR is engaged in basic and strategic research on sorghum and other millets. The institute coordinates and facilitates millet research at the national level through the All India Coordinated Research Projects on Millets, Pearl Millet, and Small Millets. IIMR's mission is to transform millet farming from subsistence agriculture to a globally competitive, climate-resilient enterprise through value addition and supply chain development.
