The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD) is a key division under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Government of India. Established to ensure the growth and development of livestock and dairy sectors, DAHD formulates policies, implements programs, and provides support to enhance animal husbandry practices, dairy development, and veterinary services across the country. DAHD is responsible for major national initiatives such as the Rashtriya Gokul Mission, National Livestock Mission, and the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund, aimed at improving livestock productivity, disease control, and market accessibility for farmers.
