Spices Board India, established in 1987 under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is the premier agency responsible for the development, promotion, and regulation of Indian spices. The Board works to enhance the production, processing, and export of 52 different spices, including cardamom, pepper, and turmeric, across global markets. It plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of spices through its Quality Evaluation Laboratories, promoting innovation, and managing spice parks and auctions for cardamom. The Board has been instrumental in positioning India as a global leader in spice exports.
