The UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) is the government body responsible for overseeing climate change policies, environmental protection, agriculture, food security, and sustainability in the UAE. Established in 2006 and restructured in 2016 to focus on climate change, the Ministry leads efforts towards sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and climate action, including the UAE’s ambitious Net Zero by 2050 strategy. It plays a key role in partnerships with international bodies and stakeholders to enhance environmental sustainability.
